Darul Uloom Islamic High School is committed to creating and maintaining the safest possible environment for children in which to be cared and educated. We recognise the fundamental impact a young boy’s experience of school can have on outcomes in his later life. We want your son to achieve his academic, spiritual, creative and athletic potential. We also want him to be happy, well-adjusted and fulfilled. That is why we are here with him, and will regularly remind him of this. Furthermore, we emphasise that through every success and failure, Allāh ﷻ is with you, during the good times and the bad.
Someone to listen
Every student has a Form Tutor who serves as his mentor; someone they meet every day who helps them excel academically and develop their talents.
Having a maximum of 30 students per year, they are close knit with a real sense of identity. Making good friends and staying with good company across the school is made easy and comfortable.
We have a dedicated Wellbeing Officer who spends valuable time listening to students and he makes it his priority to integrate care into every aspect of school life.
As well as timetabled meetings during the year, parents can speak to the Head or SLT with relative ease if they have concerns. We also offer Parent Conferences and Consultation three times a year.
Where a pupil is concerned or faces difficulties in managing himself at school, we have a dedicated Behaviour and Anti-Bullying Officer to help them, guide them and train them to build better relationships and mannerisms.
The school has two student council representatives per year group acting as the voice of their peers. Students can relay their thoughts and ideas through them for support or any positive change.
Lastly, the school has three qualified DSLs ready to listen, support and guide as well as act quickly and appropriately to all concerns.
